OVER THE PAST few years, our beloved Kerrygold has undoubtedly gone global.
The likes of Chrissy Teigen and Kourtney Kardashian have raved about it. Fancy food blogs have written about it in glowing terms. It’s even been spotted in supermarkets as far afoot as Rwanda.
But you might not know that Kerrygold is also a big deal in Africa. The company has been operating on the continent since the 1990s with the company opening a packaging facility in Nigeria in 2015.
One of its best known products is its cream milk powder, which is sold across North and sub-Saharan Africa.
It looks a little something like this.
In 2015, Kerrygold released an ad in the African market to promote their cream milk powder and let’s just say that it’s a far cry from, “Who’s taking the horse to France?”
The ad features a very catchy jingle that goes like, “Kerrygold, clap, clap, clap your hands,” and honestly it’s infectious.
